Thankful – Even After the Election

Here is some wonderful Thanksgiving food for thought, even after the election, regardless of who won.  These top ten came from Len Fleming from Bethany Bible Church.

1. The greatest agent of change is still the Gospel – EVEN AFTER THE ELECTION.
2. Christian responsibility does not change – EVEN AFTER THE ELECTION.
3. Jesus is still the King – EVEN AFTER THE ELECTION.
4. Our citizenship is still in Heaven – EVEN AFTER THE ELECTION.
5. The tomb is still empty – EVEN AFTER THE ELECTION.
6. The cross is still the victor – EVEN AFTER THE ELECTION.
7. Our family is still our #1 responsibility – EVEN AFTER THE ELECTION.
8. The greatest truth in the Universe is that Christ is Lord – EVEN AFTER THE ELECTION.
9. God is still in control – EVEN AFTER THE ELECTION.
10. Don’t fret, trust and wait patiently on the Lord – EVEN AFTER THE ELECTION and in the meantime we are to pray for our nation and elected authorities.

The Apostle Paul instructs us further in I Timothy 2:1-3.  He writes “I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone-for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.  This is good, and pleases God our Savior…”

You know we truly live in the greatest nation here on earth – EVEN AFTER THE ELECTION.  And November is when we celebrate this time of Thanksgiving in the land of the free and the home of the brave.

In the United States of America we can attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, torture, or death, and because of that we are more blessed than 3 billion people in the world.

Here’s something else to ponder.  If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead, and a place to sleep, then you are richer than 75% of this world.  If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish some place, you are among the top 8% of the world’s wealthy.  And if you can read this letter, then you are more blessed than 2 billion people in the world who cannot read at all.  Wow!  We truly do have a lot to be thankful for – EVEN AFTER THE ELECTION.
