The Apostle Paul writes in Romans 8:1: “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
When addressing an audience, if I were to ask the question: “How many of you have experienced condemnation, raise your hand?” All who would raise their hand have at one time or another been a Galatian.
The foolish Galatians had cast Christ aside and put their trust in something else (the law). Listen to Paul’s words in Galatians 5:4: “You who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ, you have fallen away from grace.”
Condemnation comes when we are trusting in something other than Jesus Christ. We have failed and now we feel condemned and disappointed, because we believe that our standing with God is based on our behavior. To be disappointed with ourself is to believe in self.
The condemnation that is felt is evidence of where our heart really finds peace, in Jesus Christ or in our own effort
If we want to be free from condemnation, we must not determine to do better, but rather acknowledge Christ’s work in and through us. “Therefore, there is no condemnation in Christ.” God’s purpose for our life is a person for our life and His name is Jesus.
Remember, JESUS DIED FOR US, TO GIVE HIS LIFE TO US, TO LIVE HIS LIFE THROUGH US. He doesn’t make you better…He is your better!
Christianity is not a self-improvement, it’s a self replacement. Christ in us, the hope of glory! It’s His plan. He is the potter, we are the clay. In Romans 9:20, 21 Paul writes…
“Shall what is formed say to Him who formed it, why did you make me like this? Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for noble purposes and some for common use.” Well, Amen! Philippians 4:11 tells us that wherever we find ourselves therein be content. In II Corinthians 4:11 Paul writes “For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that His life may be revealed in our mortal bodies.” What a plan and privilege to be used this way for His glory!
We appreciate your continued prayer and financial support. We need both to meet the ministry obligations. Thank you for your faithfulness.
