The Apostle Paul said “…I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.” Philippians 4:12
The Bible tells us to give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. A wise philosopher once wrote, “If the only prayer you said in your whole life is ‘Thank you’, that would suffice. Well, Amen!
Giving thanks covers a whole lot of things. The following is a list of some things to be thankful for:
If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep, you are richer than 75% of this world.
If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish, you are among the top 8% of the world’s wealthy.
If you woke up this morning with more health than illness, you are more blessed than the many who will not survive this day.
If you can attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest, torture or death you are envied by, and more blessed than three billion people in the world.
And let us never forget John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Thank you Jesus!
At the heart of Thanksgiving is the spirit of gratitude, which makes this a perfect opportunity to let you know how grateful we are for your partnering with us to proclaim the truth about the grace of God and your continued prayers and financial support. Thank you.
